Layered mountain geology in northern British Columbia

TSX-V: ZNX

One of North America's largest undeveloped zinc deposits.Already road, rail, and power connected.

The Cardiac Creek deposit in northeastern British Columbia holds over 5.3 billion pounds of zinc and 1 billion pounds of lead - and unlike most junior discoveries, it sits beside existing forest service roads, hydro power, and rail, not in the middle of nowhere.

The investment case

Why Cardiac Creek Is Different

Most zinc discoveries never get built because they're stranded - hundreds of kilometres from a road, let alone a power line. Cardiac Creek isn't. The Akie property already has all-weather road access, a working exploration camp, and sits within reach of hydro power and rail at Mackenzie, BC. That's the difference between a deposit on paper and a deposit that can actually become a mine.

We're the dominant land holder across the entire Kechika Trough - 798 km² and 140 kilometres of strike length - which means Cardiac Creek isn't just what we've found. It's a starting point.

01

Scale

One of the largest undeveloped Zn-Pb-Ag deposits in Canada, discovered in 1994 and grown every year since through systematic drilling.

02

Infrastructure

Road accessible via Forest Service Roads. Power, rail, and barge transport all within reach at Mackenzie, BC - rare for a project at this stage.

03

Backing

Major shareholders include Teck Resources, Korea Zinc, and Tongling Non-Ferrous Metals - the kind of names that don't show up in speculative exploration plays by accident.

District overview

A Proven Discovery Trend

Cardiac Creek is an undeveloped zinc-lead-silver deposit in northeastern British Columbia, within a decades-long discovery trend extending from the Selwyn Basin into the Kechika Trough.

The record of discoveries across the district establishes Cardiac Creek as part of a proven geological system, not an isolated find.

  1. 1951–1975

    The regional model emerges

Discovery of the Tom deposit in 1951 and the Faro and Jason zinc-lead-silver deposits in 1965 and 1975 proved that large SEDEX-type deposits could occur in the Selwyn Basin, which extends south into the Kechika Trough.

  2. 1972

    Driftpile Creek

Bedded barite-sulphide occurrences were found near Driftpile Creek in the central Kechika Trough. The occurrence was later defined as a small, high-grade historical resource of 2.44Mt at 11.9% Zn and 3.1% Pb.

  3. 1977

    Cirque discovery

A Cyprus Anvil and Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas joint venture discovered the Cirque deposit approximately 80 km southeast. It received a Mine Development Certificate in 1992 and carried a historical reserve of 24.7Mt at 8.5% Zn, 2.3% Pb, and 50.8 g/t Ag. It was never built and later became a Teck Resources and Korea Zinc joint venture.

  4. 1978–1994

    From staking to Cardiac Creek

The ground that became the Akie property was staked, lapsed, restaked in 1989 under the Akie name, and optioned to Inmet Mining in 1992. That exploration led to the Cardiac Creek showing in 1994, where early sampling returned 18.8% Zn+Pb over 40 cm.

Historical estimates for Driftpile and Cirque predate NI 43-101. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify these historical estimates as current mineral resources or mineral reserves, and ZincX is not treating them as current mineral resources or mineral reserves.
